KNBC KNBC Kings Norton Bowling Club  sports director Fred Roggin Fred Roggin is the sports anchor at KNBC-TV in Los Angeles, California. . He was also a sports talk radio host at KMPC in Los Angeles, and now currently co-hosts a morning sports show on KLAC with Los Angeles Times sports columnist T.J. Simers and Simers' daughter, Tracy Simers.  says that adding a syndicated entertainment show to his schedule will actually make his week easier.

Roggin has worked at KNBC (Channel 4) for the past 17 years and will co-host a ``Regis & Kathie Lee''- ``Mike & Mady''-type daytime talk show with Arthel Neville Arthel Neville (born New Orleans, Louisiana), is an American journalist and television personality. She began her career while a junior at the University of Texas at Austin School of Journalism . , called - now take a guess - ``The Arthel & Fred Show.''

Roggin said he will continue all of his duties at Channel 4 and work one day fewer per week.

``I've worked six days a week, doing the Sunday night Sunday Night, later named Michelob Presents Night Music, was an NBC late-night television show which aired for two seasons between 1988 and 1990 as a showcase for jazz and eclectic musical artists.  sports program,'' Roggin said. ``What we're going to do now is tape segments of the Sunday night sports program earlier in the week. So, although it appears I have two jobs, which I do, and it seems like I will work more, in reality, I will work less.

``I'll be working only five days a week now. But I'll be on TV Sunday night on tape. So, that's how that will work.''

The show seems to be trying to cash in on the phenomenal popularity of ``Rosie.''

``I think, first of all, we'll be able to take more chances,'' Roggin said. ``I think we're going to have a live band. I think that will be important. I think also we're going to be more of a variety show.''

He went on to expand by saying that, although ``Arthel & Fred'' is a daytime talk show, it shouldn't be pigeonholed into that category.

``The set has been constructed, and we're very close to the audience,'' Roggin said. ``I mean we basically are in the audience for the first segment of the show. So, we'll have interaction back and forth. And, also, I think we'll be quicker-paced.''

In case you're scoring at home: The professional life: slower-paced. The show: quicker-paced.

No nuptials yet: James Brolin, star and executive producer of the syndicated series ``Pensacola: Wings of Gold,'' said he doesn't know when he will marry his fiancee, Barbra Streisand.

The two have not yet set a wedding date.

``I bought two (rings),'' Brolin said. ``I bought a ring, and then she said, `This is too big; I want a nice little high school solitaire solitaire or patience, any card game that can be played by one person. Solitaire is the American name; in England it is known as patience. There are probably more kinds of solitaire than all other card games together. .' So I said, `Well, let's go pick one.' So, now we're sporting two rings and have no date. And, we're looking for Looking for
