ROGER WILCO RETURNS TO COMPUTERS EVERYWHERE; Space Quest 6: The Spinal Frontier in stores now.

BELLEVUE, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sierra On-Line, Inc., a leading worldwide developer of interactive entertainment software, has announced the release of Space Quest 6: Roger Wilco in the Spinal Frontier, the latest title in Sierra's popular and hilarious Space Quest adventure series.

At last, computer gamers worldwide can once again come to the aid of Roger Wilco, the bungling star of the Space Quest series. Since its introduction in 1986, the series has sold over 1,000,000 units and has received several multimedia awards.

"The Spinal Frontier is the best Space Quest yet!" says Geoff M. Keighley, multimedia reviewer for Interactive Entertainment and Strategy Plus magazines. "Sierra returns to their roots with this marvelous adventure, and we're not talking trees."

Picking up shortly after Space Quest 5 left off, Space Quest 6 takes the player, as Roger, on a wild adventure through the deepest recesses of space. However, typical of Space Quest games, there's a hitch. The journey Roger embarks on, not only takes place in outer space but in inner space as well. Roger is shrunk down to microscopic proportions and injected into the bloodstream of Corpsman Stellar Santiago, a crew member aboard Roger's newest vessel, the SCS Deepship 86.

Players must traverse Santiago's bloodstream, passing through her stomach, pancreas, gall bladder and other vital organs on the way to her brain where the evil Sarpei is lurking, ready to invade Santiago's cerebral cortex and end her life for good. All of this action is blended with dozens of hilarious spoofs on famous science fiction movies, computer games and video games.

Space Quest 6 features the latest in SVGA, 3D rendered graphics, full multimedia voice, sound and musical effects. Returning from Space Quest 4, Gary Owens once again lends his narration talents in Space Quest 6. Owens' distinctive voice-overs have been featured in many TV shows and commercials, but he's best remembered for his roles in Rowan and Martin's Laugh-In.

Space Quest 6 is available now on Windows/DOS CD. A Mac CD will be out later this summer. The title is being sold through multimedia retailers or Sierra Direct at 800/757-7707. Suggested retail price is $54.95.

Founded in 1979, Sierra On-Line is one of the original developers and largest worldwide publishers of interactive entertainment and educational software. The company's common stock is traded on the NASDAQ under the symbol SIER.
