ROGER NADEL NAMED VICE PRESIDENT AND GENERAL MANAGER OF WWJ/WJOI DETROIT
 DETROIT, April 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Roger Nadel has been named vice president and general manager of CBS Owned stations WWJ (AM) and WJOI (FM) Detroit, it was announced by Nancy C. Widmann, president, CBS Radio Division. He will report to Anna Mae Sokusky, vice president, CBS Owned AM Stations. The appointment is effective immediately.
 Nadel has been news and program director of the stations since CBS acquired them in 1989. He was instrumental in building the stations' strong commitment to the community by shaping an all-news product that is reliable, thoughtful and always relevant, according to Widmann. He was executive news producer at CBS Owned AM station KNX Newsradio Los Angeles from 1982-89. Nadel joined KNX Newsradio in 1976 as a news associate and has held the positions of writer/editor and editor of the morning drive news block until being named executive news producer in 1982. Prior to joining CBS, he spent two years as a news gatherer for the Associated Press regional audio service in California.
 He holds a B.A. in psychology from the University of the Pacific in Stockton, Calif. He and his wife Debbie, a physical therapist, have two sons, Adam, 8, and 4-year-old Cory.
 Nadel replaces Rod Zimmerman, who has been appointed vice president and general manager of KMOX (AM) St. Louis.
