RODATA NAMED WESTERN PENNSYLVANIA DEALER FOR VIDEOCONFERENCING TECHNOLOGY

PITTSBURGH, Feb. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- RoData Inc. has announced it has signed an agreement to become the Western Pennsylvania and Northern West Virginia dealer for PictureTel, Inc., the world's largest developer of videoconferencing systems.
PictureTel, headquartered in Danvers, Mass., develops, manufactures and markets upgradable videoconferencing systems for use with public or private digital networks, primarily telephone networks.
"Videoconferencing technology has rapidly improved," said John Rodella, president of RoData. "Like most new technologies, it is also becoming economically feasible for companies to install and use. A PictureTel System integrates high quality audio, advanced computer graphics and high resolution video into a compact and easy-to-use system with a single screen desktop system for small groups or large multiple screen units for large groups. The entire system is controlled from a desktop keypad.
RoData Inc. is a deep resource in cost control, telephone and cable management. RoData has provided sales and service of its PC-based data- management products, including photocopy, FAX word processing and telephone chargeback devices since 1986.
