David Robinson, after a week of brushing off questions about whether he's ``soft,'' turned in a hard-edged performance Sunday with 40 points and 21 rebounds as the host Spurs beat Phoenix 110-105 to take a 2-0 lead in their first-round playoff series.

Robinson's point and rebound totals were both career playoff-highs.

``I'm not out to prove anything to anyone. The only thing on my mind is winning games,'' Robinson said.

``We Won. That's the only thing you can really say.''

Chicago 106, Miami 75: By the time Michael Jordan was wincing in pain with a strained lower back, his Bulls were humiliating the Heat. And it wasn't even halftime yet.

Jordan scored 26 points before suffering the injury, returned to play the entire third quarter and finished with 29 as the Bulls beat the Heat in Chicago to take a 2-0 series lead.

The Bulls can sweep the best-of-five series by winning Wednesday at Miami.

Orlando 92, Detroit 77: Shaquille O'Neal scored 29 points and the Magic took a commanding 2-0 lead in its first-round series with the victory in Detroit.

Sacramento 90, Seattle 81: The Kings got the franchise's first playoff victory since 1981, beating the SuperSonics in Seattle behind Mitch Richmond's 37 points.

The Kings, in the playoffs for the first time in 10 years, evened the first-round series at 1-1 and took the homecourt advantage away from the Sonics, who have been upset in the first round the past two years.
