ROBERT HALF INTERNATIONAL AND COMPUTER ASSOCIATES ENTER STRATEGIC ALLIANCE

 MENLO PARK, Calif., Oct. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Robert Half and Accountemps, divisions of Robert Half International Inc. (RHI) (NYSE: RHI) today announced the formation of a strategic alliance with Computer Associates (CA) (NYSE: CA). Under the agreement, the companies will develop a proprietary skills-assessment system to evaluate job candidates and temporary employees on CA accounting software before they are referred or assigned to clients.
 The two companies will also launch join marketing programs for CA's family of desktop accounting software products -- CA-Simply Accounting, CA-BPI Accounting II and ACCPAC Plus Accounting -- as well as the staffing services of RHI's two divisions.
 The new skills assessment programs will enable Robert Half and Accountemps to better serve clients who require specialists in Computer Associates' family of desktop accounting software. RHI will retain exclusive rights to the test system.
 "Many Accountemps clients require temporary employees to have specific knowledge of ACCPAC Plus Accounting or other CA software packages," said Max Messmer, chairman and chief executive officer of Robert Half International. "This agreement, which includes CA's full line of desktop accounting software, enhances our client service by certifying our temporaries and candidates before they go to clients.
