ROBERT GURALNICK NAMED EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT, PRODUCTION AT WARNER BROS

 ROBERT GURALNICK NAMED EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT,
 PRODUCTION AT WARNER BROS.
 BURBANK, Calif., Aug. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Robert Guralnick has been promoted to the position of executive vice president, Production at Warner Bros., it was announced today by Bruce Berman, Warner Bros. president of Worldwide Theatrical Production.
 Guralnick joined Warner Bros. in 1989 as vice president, Production. During his tenure with the studio, he has been instrumental in bringing Kevin Costner and Jim Wilson's Tig Productions to Warner Bros. Guralnick worked closely with Tig and with Morgan Creek on last year's hit, "Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves" and currently serves as the primary production executive on Warner's eagerly anticipated Christmas release, "The Bodyguard," a romantic thriller starring Costner opposite Whitney Houston in her motion picture debut.
 "Rob's strong creative instincts, as well as his results-oriented acumen in working with filmmakers, has been a tremendous asset to us here at Warner Bros.," stated Berman. "He has made many valuable contributions to the studio over the past 2 1/2 years, and we look forward to his expanded accomplishments in this new position."
 Before joining Warner Bros., Guralnick served as executive vice president, Production at New World Pictures, where he developed "Revenge," starring Costner, and "Steel Magnolias," which was later sold to Tri-Star Pictures.
 Prior to his position at New World, Guralnick was vice president of production with the theatrical division of CBS Productions. A graduate of the California Institute of the Arts, Guralnick began his career as a documentary filmmaker.
