ROBERT CORNOG ELECTED DIRECTOR OF WISCONSIN ENERGY CORP.
MILWAUKEE, Dec. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Robert A. Cornog was elected a member of the board of directors of Wisconsin Energy Corp. (NYSE: WEC) and Wisconsin Electric Power Co., WEC's principal subsidiary, effective today to succeed Charles S. McNeer, who recently retired from the board. Cornog is chairman, president and CEO of Snap-on Tools Corp. of Kenosha, Wis. He began his association with Snap-on as a non-employee director in 1982. Prior to election to his present Snap-on position in 1991, he was president of Macwhyte Co., a manufacturer of wire rope products in Kenosha. Cornog received a BS degree in metallurgical engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology in 1961 and an MBA from the University of Chicago in 1966. He is a director of Johnson Controls, Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce, National Association of Manufacturers, Kenosha Hospital & Medical Center, and is a trustee of Carthage College.
