ROBERT BOZZA APPOINTED VICE PRESIDENT OF ACREON CATALYSTS

PARIS, Jan. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Robert Bozza has been appointed vice- president of ACREON Catalysts, a jointly owned subsidiary of Procatalyse and Engelhard, based in Houston.
Bozza, 42, graduated from France's Ecole Polytechnique and was trained as a chemical engineer at the Ecole Nationale Superieure de Chimie de Paris. He began his career in 1977 with Total's Compagnie de Raffinage refining business where he held a variety of operational management positions before joining the Group Rhone-Poulenc in 1985. For four years, he was in charge of pharmaceutical production at the Saint Fons plant near Lyon, France. In 1989, he moved to the Group's (IOM) Organic and Inorganic Intermediates Sector, where he served as strategic planning engineer.
ACREON Catalysts, located in Houston, began operations on Jan. 1. It was created through a worldwide agreement signed last November between Procatalyse, a subsidiary of Rhone-Poulenc and Institut Francais du Petrole, and the American company Engelhard. The company operates in the United States, Canada, Mexico and the West Indies, where it serves the estimated $300 million market for hydroprocessing and other oil- industry catalysts.
