ROBERT B. GOLDSTEIN APPOINTED VICE CHAIRMAN/SENIOR CREDIT
POLICY OFFICER AT NCB
WEST PATERSON, N.J., Jan. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Robert M. Kossick, chairman and chief executive officer of National Community Banks, Inc. (NASDAQ: NCBR), today announced that Robert B. Goldstein has joined National Community Banks, Inc. as vice chairman and senior credit policy officer. In this role, Goldstein will be responsible for credit policy, the loan loss reserve, asset review, loan work-outs, internal appraisal, legal, compliance, and security.
Goldstein, a well-known and respected banker throughout the Southwest, brings with him a strong background in commercial lending, credit administration, asset review, and mergers and acquisitions. For the nine-month period immediately preceding his joining National Community, Goldstein was president and chief operating officer of Crossland Savings Bank, a $10 billion savings bank whose 110 branches span eight states. Prior to that, he was executive vice president and chief credit officer of First Interstate Bank of Texas (formerly Allied Bancshares), a $6 billion commercial bank with 65 branches throughout Texas.
A magna cum laude graduate of Texas Christian University, he also served on the adjunct faculty of the Southwest Graduate School of Business at Southern Methodist University. He is a member of the board of governors of the New York Real Estate Board and member of Robert Morris Associates.
