The u.s. justice department categorizes the crime of carjacking as a "completed or attempted Robbery of a motor vehicle by a stranger and robbery pleaded not guilty Friday, prosecutors said. Roommates Trahern Bryson, 28, and Kenyata Cockrell, 23, entered the plea in a Newhall courtroom and are expected to appear May 8 for a preliminary hearing. ``Apparently, they had been friends at one time,'' said District Attorney Michael Noyes of the victim and suspects. ``But they're friendship had fallen apart.'' Officials said the suspects followed Chad Collins, 24, to the 25800 block of San Fernando Road San Fernando Road is a major street in the city and county of Los Angeles.
