NEWHALL PASS Newhall Pass is a mountain pass in Los Angeles County, California, USA. Historically called San Fernando Pass and Fremont Pass, it separates the Santa Susana Mountains from the San Gabriel Mountains.  - Early morning commuters will find several ramps, connectors and lanes on Interstate 5 and the Antelope Valley Freeway The Antelope Valley Freeway is a freeway in Los Angeles and Kern counties in southern California. It is signed as California State Highway 14 along its length. It connects Greater Los Angeles to the rapidly developing Antelope Valley.  (14) closed for routine maintenance this week, a Caltrans spokeswoman said Tuesday.

Up to two lanes of the I-5 from Sierra Highway Sierra Highway is a road in Southern California, United States.  I-5 through the pass also will be closed 9 p.m. to 4 a.m. through Thursday, and from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. Friday, she said. Further south, the northbound connector from the I-5 to the westbound Ronald Reagan Freeway (118) will be closed from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. through Saturday.

The work is being done overnight to avoid closing lanes during rush hours.
