ROADS DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM (PHASE I).The Government of St. Lucia (GOSL GOSL Government of Sri Lanka GOSL Government of St. Lucia ) has secured a loan from the Caribbean Development Bank The Caribbean Development Bank is a financial institution which assists Caribbean nations in financing social and economic programs in its member countries. Created on October 18, 1969 by a conference of eighteen countries and territories in Kingston, Jamaica, it has its (CDB CDB Common Database CDB Caribbean Development Bank CDB Convention sur la Diversité Biologique (Convention on Biological Diversity) CDB China Development Bank (Beijing, China) CDB Capital Development Board ) toward the cost of the Roads Development Program, and will apply a portion of the loan proceeds to eligible payments under the contract(s) for which this invitation for prequalification is issued. The following road projects are planned: Soufrihre-Choiseul(14 km); Choiseul-Black Bay (14 km). The works involve 300,000 m3 of earthworks earthworks: see land art. , 30,000 t of asphalt and associated bridge and drainage works. It is expected that invitations to bid will be made in March 2001.
