 ROADMASTER TO CONTINUE ESOP OPEN MARKET PURCHASES IN 1992
 ENGLEWOOD, Colo., Dec. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Roadmaster Industries Inc. ("RMI") (NASDAQ: WHEL) announced today that its Roadmaster Corp. operating unit was authorized by its board of directors to continue open market purchases of its common stock from time to time in 1992 for contribution to the Roadmaster Corp. Employees' Stock Ownership Plan and Trust ("ESOP"). The company anticipates its 1992 contribution to be in the $330,000 range which funds include those for both certain salaried and hourly employees' 401(k) plan and ESOP. The Roadmaster Corp. ESOP was effective Jan. 1, 1990 and is designed to provide deferred compensation for employee retirement through ownership of RMI common stock and replaces prior retirement plans for certain salaried and hourly employees. The Roadmaster Corp. ESOP currently owns in excess of 850,000 shares of RMI common stock for the benefit of its employees. RMI Chairman, Henry Fong, said, "This further confirms RMI's commitment to its employees to share in the ownership and growth of the company."
 Roadmaster Industries Inc. operates through its two wholly-owned subsidiaries, Roadmaster Corp. and Hamilton Lamp Corp. Roadmaster Corp. is a leading designer and manufacturer of junior wheel goods, bicycles and health fitness equipment. Hamilton Lamp Corp. is a leading manufacturer of lamps and replacement shades.
