ROAD REPORT.Byline: The Register-GuardRoad construction projects scheduled for today through Sept. 18: Eugene Expect parking restrictions and delays as work continues in the following West University alleys: between East 17th Avenue and East 18th Avenue from Patterson Street to the half alley; between East 11th Avenue and East 12th Avenue from High Street to the half alley. Willakenzie Road, Coburg Road to Cal Young Road: Cleanup work will take place during the week. Watch for lane closures and traffic controlled by flaggers. Bertelsen Road, Roosevelt Boulevard The following roads are called Roosevelt Boulevard:
Third Avenue, Pearl Street to Lincoln Street: Road will be closed to through traffic as work continues on crosswalks, curbs and paving. Intersection of Third Avenue and Lincoln Street will be closed and restricted to local access only. Consider alternate routes An official alternate route is a bannered highway that provides an alternate alignment for a highway. Originally, the term for these routes was "optional"; but in 1959, the designation became alternate. . East 11th Avenue, Franklin Boulevard to Mill Street: Paving work will take place beginning Wednesday and ending Friday for LTD's bus rapid transit line. Watch for lane closures and flaggers. North Eugene North Game Farm Road, Coburg Road to Interstate 5 bridges: Work will include the installation of landscaping, streetlights and traffic signals, and paving of driveways. Flaggers, one-lane traffic through work zone; expect traffic delays. Springfield Belt Line Road, Gateway Street to Game Farm Road: Contractor will be excavating existing roadway on the north side of Belt Line Road from Hutton Street to Game Farm Road. Traffic will be restricted to two lanes in this area. Motorists should be aware of lane shift and new lane configuration between Gateway Street and Game Farm Road. Expect traffic delays.
