ROAD REPORT.Byline: The Register-Guard Here's a look at major road construction this week around the region. Weather conditions may cause delays. Eugene-Springfield Area Interstate 5, Willamette River Willamette River River, northwestern Oregon, U.S. It flows north for 300 mi (485 km) into the Columbia River near Portland. Oregon's most populous cities are in its valley. The Fremont Bridge, a steel arch with a main span of 1,225 ft (373 m), crosses the river at Portland. Bridge: Work continues on forming the deck of the detour bridge at mileposts 192 to 193; paving on nearby bike paths delayed because of herons nesting in park areas but continues on approaches to the detour bridge. Watch for nightly lane closures and construction vehicles entering and leaving the roadway. Interstate 5, McKenzie River For rivers name "Mackenzie", see . The McKenzie River is a tributary of the Willamette River, 86 miles (138 km) long, in northwestern Oregon in the United States. It drains part of the Cascade Range east of Eugene into the southernmost end of the Willamette Valley. Highway 126: Bridge joint work at night on bridges over the Willamette between Springfield and Glenwood; traffic may be restricted to one lane, with flaggers on hand. Delays should be minimal. Garden Way: Work between Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Commons Drive, with some work also on the shoulders of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. Garden Way is barricaded bar·ri·cade n. 1. Cal Young Road: Roto-milling and paving will take place on Cal Young Road for most of the week. Work will shift to Gilham Road. Expect delays, intermittent lane closures, lane shifts and noise. Bertelsen Road: Expect delays and intermittent lane closures. Jasper Road Extension, Springfield: Installation of the median barrier on Highway 126 north of Main Street begins this week; expect lane closures and five- to 10-minute delays through the intersection. Paving and installation of pavement markings continues between Main Street and Glacier Drive, along with work on sidewalks, street lights and traffic signals. Traffic continues to be routed to the South 57th/58th detour. Use other routes if possible during the construction hours of 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the project area. Coburg Area Interstate 5: Installation of new traffic signal, concrete barrier and impact attenuator An impact attenuator, also known as a crash cushion or crash attenuator, is a device intended to reduce the damage done to structures, vehicles, and motorists resulting from a motor vehicle collision. at northbound I-5 and Van Duyn Road, along with improved drainage and grading improvement of roadside ditching. Florence Area Highway 126 West: Minor finishing tasks remain, including several days of traffic control at the Wildcat Bridges. Flaggers control single-lane traffic; expect 20-minute delays. Clear Lake Road: Excavation and fill continues between Gibbs Creek Bridge and Canary Road, with paving set to begin Tuesday between Jensen Lane and Gibbs Creek Bridge. Flaggers control traffic; expect 15- to 20-minute delays. South Lane County Area Interstate 5: Reconstruction is under way at the intersection of Gateway Boulevard Gateway Boulevard is a major one-way street in Edmonton, Alberta. It is part of the Alberta provincial highway 2. It's a northbound road and it runs parallel with Calgary Trail, which is the southbound part of Highway 2. and the Cottage Grove Cottage Grove, village (1990 pop. 22,935), Washington co., SE Minn., near the St. Croix River; inc. 1965. There is farming (cattle, sheep, corn, and soybeans) and manufacturing (chemicals and machinery). Walton Area Nelson Mountain Road: Replacement of the Chickahominy Creek bridge continues, with traffic rerouted onto a one-lane detour bridge. Approaching motorists should yield the right-of-way to traffic already on the bridge. Spencer Creek Area Gibraltar Loop: Asphalt overlay scheduled to begin Monday, followed by paving of driveways and placement of shoulder rock. Flaggers will control traffic; expect delays of 10 to 15 minutes. Appletree Drive and Court: Asphalt overlay begins Tuesday and continues throughout the week, followed by paving of driveways and placement of shoulder rock. Flaggers control traffic; expect 10- to 15-minute delays. Newton Place: Asphalt overlay scheduled for Friday, followed by paving of driveways and placement of shoulder rock.
