Major road work by Lane County, the cities of Eugene and Springfield, and the state Department of Transportation for the week starting today:

EUGENE

Ferry Street Ferry Street (Chinese: 渡船街) is a street between Ferry Point and Mong Kok Tsui in Kowloon, Hong Kong. The street was on the shore of old reclamation before the new West Kowloon reclamation in 1990s.  and Highway 99W: The new sections of Ferry Street, north of Eighth Avenue, and the new section of 99W, west of Ferry Street, will remain closed until Friday to complete landscaping and street illumination.

East 18th Avenue from Hilyard Street to Harris Street: East 18th Avenue between Hilyard Street and Alder alder (ôl`dər), name for deciduous trees and shrubs of the genus Alnus of the family Betulaceae (birch family), widely distributed, especially in mountainous and moist areas of the north temperate zone and in the Andes.  Street will be closed to all traffic from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday. Consider East 19th Avenue as alternate route An official alternate route is a bannered highway that provides an alternate alignment for a highway. Originally, the term for these routes was "optional"; but in 1959, the designation became alternate. . No parking available between Harris and Hilyard on intermittent days. Bike traffic will be required to merge periodically with motor vehicles. Watch for trucks and other construction traffic during wastewater repairs and maintenance.

Clark Street at Cedar Street: Watch for construction traffic and expect minor delays. Wastewater repairs and maintenance on the north side of the street will close the north sidewalk.

Jackson Street from Clark to Cheshire: Watch for construction traffic and expect minor delays during wastewater repairs and maintenance.

Donald Street: Watch for lane closures and shifts.

East 43rd Avenue from Fox Hollow Road to Donald Street: Watch for lane closures and shifts.

East 40th Avenue from Donald Street to Willamette Street: Watch for lane closures and shifts.

Clear Lake Road between Highway 99 and Greenhill Road: Closed from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday. Maintenance crews will be fogsealing the road surface of Clear Lake Road at the intersection with Highway 99. Seek alternative routes.

: The new alignment is open. Expect construction and equipment along new roads as finish work is conducted. There may be minor delays on Green Hill Road east (where the old meets the new) as that intersection is modified.

Fern Ridge Path - City View Street to Garfield Street and Chambers Street Chambers Street is a street in Edinburgh, Scotland, at south of the Old Town. The street is named after William Chambers of Glenormiston, the Lord Provost of Edinburgh who was the main proponent of the 1867 Edinburgh Improvement Act, which gave permission for the street's  to Blue Heron blue heron

 Bike Bridge: Path closures may continue during final construction cleanup activities. Work is scheduled to start on the pedestrian islands and sidewalk ramps at the Fern Ridge Path intersection with City View. This island and ramp work may cause minor delays to traffic and sidewalk closures for pedestrians. Work will continue through the summer to the end of September. The recommended alternate route between Polk and City View streets is 12th Avenue. The section of path between Garfield and Chambers will remain open throughout the project. Eastbound east·bound

Westbound path users will be required to use alternate routes at Polk Street Polk Street is a street in San Francisco that travels northward from Market Street to Jefferson Street. It's attractions are the See's Candy flagship store at California Street, and is usually cleaned every Saturday by the neighborhood organization. ; however, the Blue Heron Bridge, which crosses Amazon Creek in Westmoreland Park to 18th Avenue, will remain open throughout the project and can be used as an alternate route to 18th Avenue or other routes to the south.

Franklin Boulevard from Walnut Street A number of streets are named Walnut Street:
  • Walnut Street (Harrisburg)
  • Walnut Street (Philadelphia)
Walnut Street may also refer to:

  • Walnut Street (NJT station), in Montclair, New Jersey
 to East 11th Avenue: Watch for lane closures and shifts..

Franklin Boulevard from East 11th Avenue to Walnut Street: Night paving to start on Monday and go until Friday. Traffic will be restricted to a single lane from 6 p.m. until 6 a.m.

Goodpasture Road: Special Projects will be replacing an existing culvert with a fish culvert. One-lane traffic during the work. Expect 10- to 15-minute delays. Seek alternate routes.

SPRINGFIELD

21st Street from G Street to J Street: Expect intermittent lane closures as contractor finishes paving work.

21st Street from D Street to G Street: Street closed to through traffic. Traffic is detoured to 19th Street. Contractor is reconstructing the street section.

G Street from 48th Street to 52nd Street: Maintenance crews will be patching asphalt paving at various locations. Expect single-lane traffic control with flaggers and up to 5-minute delay.

West I Street from Kelly Boulevard to Water Street: Street will be closed to through traffic. Traffic is detoured to H or J streets. Contractor will start reconstructing the street, installing curbs, sidewalks and storm drains storm drain

Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Belt Line Road to Cardinal Way: Beginning Thursday, this new section of roadway will open to two-way traffic for the first time in its permanent configuration, using both the northbound and southbound south·bound

Belt Line Road, Gateway Street to Game Farm Road: Traffic restricted to two lanes in this area. Beginning Thursday, this reconstructed section of roadway will reopen to two-way traffic.

Hayden Bridge Road, Game Farm Road to Shady Lane Drive: Two-way traffic has temporarily been moved to the north portion of the roundabout onto the new concrete pavement. Both directions of Pioneer Parkway are closed at Pioneer Plaza. Speed limit reduced to 20 mph.

Pioneer Parkway East, Q Street to Hayden Bridge Way: Roadway is closed north of entrance to the Pioneer Plaza Shopping Center shopping center, a concentration of retail, service, and entertainment enterprises designed to serve the surrounding region. The modern shopping center differs from its antecedents—bazaars and marketplaces—in that the shops are usually amalgamated into  to facilitate construction of new roundabout at the intersection of Hayden Bridge Way and Pioneer Parkway.

Wayside Lane, Hayden Bridge to Seward Avenue: Wayside Lane is closed to traffic at Hayden Bridge Way. Road closed until the roundabout is completed at the intersection of Pioneer Parkway and Hayden Bridge Way. Motorists should use detour route on Castle Drive and Seward Lane to access Wayside Lane.

 work. Residents living adjacent to the project segments will be notified 72 hours in advance of the work and should expect the street to be closed from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., if slurry curing is slow. Typical curing period is six hours; when first applied, material is brown and sticky. To prevent damage to the fresh slurry and avoid tracking, all vehicles, people and pets must be kept off the street until the street is reopened by the contractor.

COTTAGE GROVE Cottage Grove, village (1990 pop. 22,935), Washington co., SE Minn., near the St. Croix River; inc. 1965. There is farming (cattle, sheep, corn, and soybeans) and manufacturing (chemicals and machinery).  

Sharps Creek Road at milepost 6.48: Contractor is working on replacing the west half of the existing bridge over Sharps Creek. Traffic restricted to a single lane, which is regulated by a temporary traffic signal. Expect minor delays.

JUNCTION CITY Junction City, city (1990 pop. 20,604), seat of Geary co., NE Kans., at the confluence of the Republican and Smoky Hill rivers; inc. 1859. The rail, trade, and processing center of an agricultural and dairy area, it grew as the supply point for nearby Fort Riley,  

Prairie Road Connector between Highway 99 and Prairie Road: Road closure from 8 a.m. to noon, Tuesday. Road maintenance crews will be fogsealing the road surface of Prairie Road Connector at the intersection with Highway 99. Seek alternate routes.

INTERSTATE 5

Belt Line Road interchange: Activities this week include pile driving, concrete placement for columns and footings, excavation for new footings and construction of water treatment swales. Motorists should expect traffic slow-downs around the interchange as drivers slow to view work activity.

Row River and Overflow bridges between Cottage Grove and Saginaw interchange: Project consists of removal and reconstruction of southbound and northbound Row River and Overflow bridges on I-5, along with minor roadway and shoulder reconstruction. Contractor will continue nighttime lane closures for guardrail installation and shoulder reconstruction during the week.

Gettings Creek, Stalder Slough Slough (slou), city (1991 pop. 106,341) and borough, central England. After World War I, the residential city and its outlying area underwent rapid industrial development, owing in part to its proximity to London.  and River Drive bridges, between Goshen and Cottage Grove: At about milepost 178, southbound traffic is in a two-lane detour while crews rebuild the southbound bridge over Tunnel Mill Race and Stalder Slough. The rest area on I-5 northbound in this location is closed until mid-November. Northbound traffic has been diverted onto a temporary detour at Gettings Creek while crews rebuild the northbound bridge. Speed limit reduced to 55 mph through construction zone.

I-5 overpass (Creswell) and Hill Creek Bridge: Contractor has completed concrete pours at bents 1 and 2. The contractor will be driving pipe at bent 3, and is scheduled to form and install reinforcement this week. Contractor is scheduled to set the beams on the bridge over I-5 on Sept. 25 and 26. There will be a detour in place between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. while the road is closed for this work. No work activities are scheduled on the Hill Creek Bridge this week.

HIGHWAY 58

Odell Creek to Crescent Creek; Willamette Pass Willamette Pass (el. 5128 ft.) is a mountain pass in the Cascade Mountains in the U.S. state of Oregon. The pass is traversed by Oregon Route 58. Willamette Pass ski area is located there.  Highway: Project consists of removing the existing bridges over Crescent Creek and Odell Creek, east of Willamette Pass Ski Area Willamette Pass is a ski area located in the Willamette and Deschutes National Forests in the Cascade Range of Oregon. The summit elevation of the ski area is 6683 ft (2037 m), and the total vertical rise from the base is 1563 ft (476 m). , and building new bridges, as well as installing storm sewers, inlets and drainage curbs. Temporary signals are controlling traffic at the bridges. Contractor is scheduled to pour concrete for the bridge rail on both bridges this week. Expect delays during the daytime throughout the week.

HIGHWAY 126 EAST

Glenwood, Springfield and Vida; Jenkins Drive, Silver Creek Silver Creek can refer to:

 (McKenzie Highway): Paving on Highway 126 from Vida east to Silver Creek is under way. Contractor will be working day and night to complete paving by the end of October. Watch for flaggers and pilot cars. In addition, watch for abrupt edges in the center and along the edges of the road during this phase. Expect regular traffic delays of up to 20 minutes.

HIGHWAY 101
