Bicyclists should exercise extra care in construction area. Spencer Creek Area Gibralter Loop, Appletree Drive and Appletree Court: Driveway paving scheduled this week, followed by shoulder rock. Watch for flaggers; expect delays of 5-10 minutes. Springfield Area Jasper Road Extension: Installation of sidewalks at the intersection of Main Street and Highway 126 scheduled this week, as well as landscape and other site work. No delays expected. Walton Area Nelson Mountain Road: Replacement of the Chickahominy Creek bridge continues, with traffic rerouted onto a one-lane detour bridge. Contractor will begin construction of roadway approaches this week. Approaching motorists should yield the right-of-way to traffic already on the bridge. |
