ROAD REPORT.Byline: The Register-Guard Here's a look at major road construction this week around the region. Weather conditions may cause delays. Eugene-River Road area Amazon Parkway from 19th Avenue to 24th Place: Watch for construction on 24th Avenue just east of Amazon Parkway as sidewalk work continues. Amazon Parkway from 29th Avenue to Hilyard Street: Watch for flaggers and lane detours during daytime construction hours as preliminary paving work begins. Crest Drive between Lincoln and Willamette streets: Wastewater repairs under way; watch for lane closures and detours. Goodpasture Island Road (Valley River Drive to 2,000 feet north): Wastewater repair work during daytime hours; single-lane traffic in each direction; watch for southbound lane detours and flaggers. Lone Oaks Drive east of Division Avenue: Paving. Single lane controlled by flaggers. Lorane Highway (Chambers Street Chambers Street is a street in Edinburgh, Scotland, at south of the Old Town. The street is named after William Chambers of Glenormiston, the Lord Provost of Edinburgh who was the main proponent of the 1867 Edinburgh Improvement Act, which gave permission for the street's to 29th Avenue): Paving repairs continue. Expect lane closures and flaggers. Valley River Drive near Valley River Way: Night work continues on the west side of the Delta Highway The Delta Highway is a short limited-access freeway in Eugene, Oregon, United States, linking downtown Eugene with the Beltline Highway, northern Eugene and the Riverridge golf course to the north. . Expect single-lane traffic in each direction, flaggers and delays during daytime construction hours. 30th Avenue from Hilyard to Agate streets: Grinding and paving with construction of a concrete island at Agate and 30th. Single-lane traffic in each direction; expect flaggers and brief delays during daytime construction hours. Marcola Marcola Road: Driveway grading and miscellaneous site work will continue from Parsons Creek to Wendling roads, with final paving scheduled for late in the week. River Road: Installation of pavement markings, shoulder rock, street lights and miscellaneous site work continues between Carthage Avenue and Beacon Drive, along with sidewalk and street-lighting installation. Roadway paving should be under way Thursday and Friday. Expect minimal delays, flaggers. Seavey Loop Seavey Way: Construction continues on the new Frank Parrish Bridge over the Coast Fork of the Willamette River at the entrance to the Howard Buford Recreation Area, with traffic diverted to a detour bridge. Traffic delays will be minimal. South Lane County Interstate 5: Construction continues on the Coast Fork Willamette River The Coast Fork Willamette River is one of several forks that unite to form the Willamette River in western Oregon in the United States. It is approximately 55 mi (89 km) long, draining an area of the mountains at the south end of the Willamette Valley south of Eugene. Bridge; work this week includes forming the deck for the new bridge. Expect congestion, delays and slow trucks and other construction vehicles entering or leaving the freeway. Springfield McKenzie Highway 126: Expect occasional night-time delays and one-lane traffic on the westbound bridge, from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday through Thursday as repairs continue on the bridge crossing the Willamette River at Franklin Boulevard. |
