Major road work by Lane County, the cities of Eugene and Springfield, and the state Department of Transportation for the week starting today:

EUGENE

Hilyard Street from 13th to 18th avenues: Open.

Hilyard Street between 18th and 24th avenues: Closed to traffic. Motorists should use alternate routes An official alternate route is a bannered highway that provides an alternate alignment for a highway. Originally, the term for these routes was "optional"; but in 1959, the designation became alternate.  such as Amazon Parkway or Alder alder (ôl`dər), name for deciduous trees and shrubs of the genus Alnus of the family Betulaceae (birch family), widely distributed, especially in mountainous and moist areas of the north temperate zone and in the Andes.  Street. Sidewalks will remain open for foot traffic to access local homes and businesses. Sidewalk access ramps at each corner along Hilyard Street will be closed.

Hilyard Street and 24th Avenue intersection: Open.

24th Avenue from Amazon Parkway to Hilyard Street: Open.

Patterson at 13th Avenue to Broadway: Open.

Washington Street The following streets in the United States are called Washington Street:
  • Washington Street (Alexandria), in Alexandria, Virginia
  • Washington Street (Baltimore), in Baltimore, Maryland, running near Johns Hopkins Hospital
 from Sixth Avenue to Eighth Avenue: Watch for lane closures and shifts. At least one lane will be open on Washington Street at all times.

Seneca Road from Seventh Avenue to 11th Avenue: Watch for lane closures and shifts. One lane in each direction will be open to traffic at all times.

Eighth Avenue and Ferry Street Ferry Street (Chinese: 渡船街) is a street between Ferry Point and Mong Kok Tsui in Kowloon, Hong Kong. The street was on the shore of old reclamation before the new West Kowloon reclamation in 1990s. : Sections will be closed until the end of August for completing sidewalk and street light installation and in cooperation with the courthouse building contractor building contractor ncontratista m/f de obras

. The closures include the one-block section of Eighth Avenue between Mill and Ferry streets, and the one-block section of Ferry Street between Broadway and Eighth Avenue. Motorists will be able to access businesses and residences on Eighth Avenue east of Ferry Street via Hilyard Street north of Broadway.

Garfield Street from 11th Avenue to Amazon Bridge and Arthur Street from Amazon Bridge to 18th Avenue: Watch for lane closures and shifts. One lane in each direction will be open at all times.

Donald Street: Use detour route.

East 43rd Avenue from Fox Hollow Road to Donald Street: Watch for lane closures and shifts. Cold plane pavement removal is scheduled to begin Thursday.

East 40th Avenue from Donald Street to Willamette Street: Watch for lane closures and shifts. Cold plane pavement removal is scheduled to begin Thursday.

: The westerly Westerly, town (1990 pop. 21,605), Washington co., extreme SW R.I., between the Pawcatuck River and Block Island Sound; inc. 1669. Its textile industry dates from 1814, and granite has been quarried there since c.1850.  section of Green Hill Road between Clear Lake Road and Airport Road will be closed until approximately the end of the week. Traffic needing access to the airport should use Highway 99 and Airport Road. Expect construction equipment working near the entrance to the airport.

Fern Ridge Path - City View Street to Garfield Street and Chambers Street Chambers Street is a street in Edinburgh, Scotland, at south of the Old Town. The street is named after William Chambers of Glenormiston, the Lord Provost of Edinburgh who was the main proponent of the 1867 Edinburgh Improvement Act, which gave permission for the street's  to Blue Heron blue heron

 Bike Bridge: Path will continue to be closed this week from City View to Garfield and Chambers to the Blue Heron Bike Bridge for curing of the concrete surfaces as part of the path reconstruction. Avoid all contact with the path in order to allow the concrete to harden and to avoid uneven surfaces. Work and path closures will continue through the summer to the end of September. The recommended alternate route between Polk and City View streets is 12th Avenue. The section of path between Garfield and Chambers will remain open throughout the project. Eastbound east·bound

Westbound path users will be required to use alternate routes at Polk Street Polk Street is a street in San Francisco that travels northward from Market Street to Jefferson Street. It's attractions are the See's Candy flagship store at California Street, and is usually cleaned every Saturday by the neighborhood organization. ; however, the Blue Heron Bridge, which crosses Amazon Creek in Westmoreland Park to 18th Avenue, will remain open throughout the project and can be used as an alternate route to 18th Avenue or other routes to the south.

SPRINGFIELD

Belt Line Road, Gateway Street to Game Farm Road: Traffic is restricted to two lanes in this area. Traffic is detoured onto a portion of the newly constructed Martin Luther King Parkway east of Game Farm Road, between Game Farm Road and Cardinal Way. At Cardinal Way, motorists are required to turn right and proceed to Game Farm Road. Game Farm Road is permanently closed at Beltline Road south of the intersection.

Hayden Bridge Road, Game Farm Road to Shady Lane Drive: Two-way traffic has been moved to the north portion of the roundabout, on the new concrete pavement. Both directions of Pioneer Parkway are closed at Pioneer Plaza. Speed limit reduced to 20 mph.

Pioneer Parkway East, Q Street to Hayden Bridge Way: Roadway is closed north of entrance to the Pioneer Plaza Shopping Center shopping center, a concentration of retail, service, and entertainment enterprises designed to serve the surrounding region. The modern shopping center differs from its antecedents—bazaars and marketplaces—in that the shops are usually amalgamated into  to facilitate construction of new roundabout at the intersection of Hayden Bridge Way and Pioneer Parkway.

Wayside Lane, Hayden Bridge to Seward Avenue: Wayside Lane is closed to traffic at Hayden Bridge Way. Road closed until the roundabout is completed at the intersection of Pioneer Parkway and Hayden Bridge Way. Motorists should use detour route on Castle Drive and Seward Lane to access Wayside Lane.

21st Street - G Street to J Street: Street will be closed to through traffic for reconstruction of the street, curb, gutter and sidewalk. Traffic detoured to 19th and 20th streets. Detour will likely remain in effect until Sept. 1.

21st Street - D Street to G Street: Utility crews are relocating water mains and services in advance of street reconstruction. This portion of the street will be very busy with construction crews. Daytime street closures and single lane traffic control with flaggers will be in place at various locations in the area. Expect up to 20-minute delays. Drivers are encouraged to take alternate routes, such as 14th Street.

Various streets: Springfield maintenance crews will be conducting preventative maintenance asphalt patching and crack sealing on residential streets north of Main Street and east of 58th Street. Expect single lane traffic control with short delays in various locations throughout this area of town. Drive with caution.

COTTAGE GROVE Cottage Grove, village (1990 pop. 22,935), Washington co., SE Minn., near the St. Croix River; inc. 1965. There is farming (cattle, sheep, corn, and soybeans) and manufacturing (chemicals and machinery).  

Sharps Creek Road at milepost 6.48: Contractor is working on replacing the westerly half of the existing bridge over Sharps Creek. Traffic restricted to a single lane, which is regulated by a temporary traffic signal. Expect minor delays.

Hamm Road, milepost 2 to 4.38: Contractor working on upgrading the guardrail in preparation of an asphalt overlay. Expect minor delays.

JUNCTION CITY Junction City, city (1990 pop. 20,604), seat of Geary co., NE Kans., at the confluence of the Republican and Smoky Hill rivers; inc. 1859. The rail, trade, and processing center of an agricultural and dairy area, it grew as the supply point for nearby Fort Riley,  AREA

Dorsey Lane, Highway 36 to High Pass Road: Contractor will be overlaying the existing asphalt surface. Expect 10-minute delays.

HIGHWAY 36

AND TERRITORIAL HIGHWAY

Cheshire, Monroe, Low Pass Road: Monday through Thursday, ODOT ODOT Oregon Department of Transportation

 crews will be ditching along Territorial Highway between Cheshire and Monroe. During the project, one lane of the road will be closed to traffic. Flaggers will control traffic. Motorists should expect up to 15 minute delays between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.

INTERSTATE 5

Belt Line interchange: Activities this week include driving pilings for false work shoring and footings for the flyover. Concrete will be placed for columns and footings, and excavation will continue for new footings and construction of water treatment swales. No traffic delays are anticipated. However, watch for traffic that has slowed in this area to view the numerous work activities being performed.

 and northbound Row River and Overflow bridges on I-5, along with minor roadway and shoulder reconstruction. Contractor will be implementing a lane closure for work on the inside shoulder (left lane) of both northbound and southbound I-5 during nighttime hours starting Monday night. Watch for construction workers and slow trucks entering and leaving the project area.

Gettings Creek, Stalder Slough Slough (slou), city (1991 pop. 106,341) and borough, central England. After World War I, the residential city and its outlying area underwent rapid industrial development, owing in part to its proximity to London.  and River Drive bridges, between Goshen and Cottage Grove: At about milepost 178, southbound traffic is in a two-lane detour while crews reconstruct the existing southbound bridge over Gettings Creek and Stalder Slough. Rest area on I-5 northbound in this location is closed until mid-November. Northbound traffic has been diverted onto a temporary detour at Gettings Creek while crews remove and replace the existing northbound bridge. Motorists should expect occasional lane closures. Delays will be minimal. Speed limit reduced on southbound I-5 to 55 mph in project area.

At milepost 180.5 to 181, about one mile south of Creswell, southbound traffic will be in a two-lane detour while crews reconstruct the existing River Drive overpass.

I-5 overpass (Creswell) and Hill Creek Bridge: Contractor will be forming and installing reinforcement this week on Oregon Avenue overcrossing of I-5. Contractor poured temporary bridge deck and end panels on the Hill Creek Bridge last Friday. No lane closures will be allowed Monday through Friday on I-5 northbound between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m.; on southbound I-5 between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m.; and on the Springfield-Creswell Highway (Oregon Avenue) from 6 a.m. to 8:30 a.m., and from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Detours will be in effect when necessary to facilitate construction work.

HIGHWAY 58

Odell Creek to Crescent Creek; Willamette Pass Willamette Pass (el. 5128 ft.) is a mountain pass in the Cascade Mountains in the U.S. state of Oregon. The pass is traversed by Oregon Route 58. Willamette Pass ski area is located there.  Highway: Project consists of removing existing bridges over Crescent Creek and Odell Creek, east of Willamette Pass Ski Area Willamette Pass is a ski area located in the Willamette and Deschutes National Forests in the Cascade Range of Oregon. The summit elevation of the ski area is 6683 ft (2037 m), and the total vertical rise from the base is 1563 ft (476 m). , and building new bridges, as well as installing storm sewers storm sewer

, inlets and drainage curbs. Temporary signals are now controlling traffic at the bridges. Traffic has been switched to the westbound lanes on both bridges to accommodate work in the eastbound lanes. Contractor is scheduled to form and pour concrete pile caps a beam resting upon and connecting the heads of piles.

HIGHWAY 126 EAST

Glenwood, Springfield and Vida; Jenkins Drive, Silver Creek Silver Creek can refer to:

  • Silver Creek, Missouri, a village located in Newton County, Missouri
: Construction from Vida east to Silver Creek will begin on Monday. Watch for flaggers and signs directing traffic. Expect regular traffic delays of up to 20 minutes. This work is scheduled to be completed by Oct. 31.

Also east of Vida, culverts will be replaced on the highway next to Rennies Boat Landing (mile point 32.2) and at the Silver Creek Boat Landing (mile point 33.6). Work will take place at night and early morning. Operating hours will be from 6 p.m. until 7 a.m., Monday through Friday morning, for about two weeks. No work on culverts will take place from 7 a.m. Friday to 6 p.m. Monday.

Major construction activities on Franklin Boulevard in Glenwood are nearly complete. Contractor will be working through the end of August to complete minor work; expect periodic lane closures.

Paving operations on Main Street in Springfield between 20th and 72nd streets are complete, but the contractor will be working through the end of August to finish striping Interleaving or multiplexing data to increase speed. See disk striping.
