RMS declared champions.
In the opening game Risk Management Services scored a 3-1 win over FMC Technologies. It was a closely contested match with RMS narrowly winning the first game by a slender margin of 8 pins.
Pilai Street and Somboon Jacques bowled all three games above average which was the deciding factor in RMS winning the match and the league title. Gina Lax, Margaret Sangster and Pauline Curtis of FMC Technologies all bowled above average in the final game to make one point from this match.
The second game saw BBC team, this season's runners-up, narrowly miss out on the league title when they were defeated by Arabian Entertainment. Excellent bowling by Gaby Pulfer and Lynda Torah of AE ensured their three-and-a-half points from this match.
Some good bowling in the final game by Arleen Edwards and Barbara Crowther of BBC made it level pegging. But their half point gain wasn't enough to take the title.
As the score line suggests, the last match was a closely contested one. Carillion took the first game with steady bowling by Jill Morley, Mila Peake and Catherine Preece. Gulf Petroleum Services levelled the match with Sheila Strawn, Lillian Jones and Linda Mowat all bowling above average.
Standings: 1. RMS; (34 pts) 2. BBC; (31.5 pts) 3. Arabian Entertainment; (28.5 pts) 4. Carillion; (28 pts) 5. GPS; (25 pts) 6. FMC; (21 pts).
