RMD LPA-1 Portable Data Recorder (PDR).

RMD Instruments, manufacturer of the HUD/U.S. EPA-approved, lightweight, easy-to-use LPA-1 XRF lead paint spectrum analyzer, has introduced the Portable Data Recorder (PDR), a lead inspection system.

The LPA-1 XRF lead paint spectrum analyzer quickly determines and measures the presence of lead in paint.

Used in conjunction with the LPA-1 XRF system in the field, PDR provides for complete data collection and report generation. PDR menu-driven software allows the user to collect all inspection parameters (e.g., room name, location, paint color and condition, and substrate), as well as to make specific comments for each reading or general comments about the inspection. The Sequential Inspection Report created as part of the inspection can be viewed and printed in the field or transferred to another computer via USB connection or BlueTooth wireless link.

The PDR creates an inspection report in both RMD's RGS format, for use with RMD's software, and in ASCII format.

Feedback from lead inspectors who are now using the PDR system with the LPA-1 indicates that they are completing their inspections in less time and have virtually eliminated time spent in the office doing data entry.
