RKF makes Connection with UK giant.


Robert K. Futterman & Associates (RKF RKF Rapid Knowledge Formation ) has been selected as the exclusive national retail leasing representative for the fashionable apparel and accessories brand French Connection.

RKF Strategic Retailer Services will work on the retailer's behalf to develop and execute a strategic growth plan for the continued expansion of French Connection stores throughout the United States United States, officially United States of America, republic (2005 est. pop. 295,734,000), 3,539,227 sq mi (9,166,598 sq km), North America. The United States is the world's third largest country in population and the fourth largest country in area. .

Robert Draizen, senior managing director of RKF Strategic Retailer Services, will be responsible for sourcing and securing sites across the country.

"It is an honor to serve as the exclusive representative for one of the most contemporary and forward-thinking fashion retailers," noted Draizen.

"RKF's market research capabilities, coupled with our thorough knowledge of retail markets, will enable us to successfully support French Connection's expansion plans and business objectives."

The new French Connection retail stores will range between 3,000 and 5,000 s/f and will be mainly located in lifestyle shopping centers and urban street locations. The retailer plans on opening an estimated five to eight retail locations in 2008.

RKF Strategic Retailer Services assists retailers in developing and executing strategic plans--including regional and national expansions, customer and market analysis, and site selection.

Futterman and director Beth Rosen, together with Wade McDevitt and Lorraine Adney of the McDevitt Company, represented women's fashion retailer Free People in a lease transaction at 79 Fifth Avenue.

Located in the Flatiron District between 15th and 16th Streets, Free People will occupy 2,000 s/f on the ground floor and 4,000 s/f on the lower level of 79 Fifth Avenue. This will be the retailer's first Manhattan location, and is slated to open in December 2007.
