RKF has food for thought in Brooklyn.

Robert K. Futterman & Associates, LLC has completed a long-term lease with PSK Supermarkets Inc. at Restoration Plaza, 1360-1420 Fulton St., in Brooklyn, N.Y. The company signed a 25-year lease for 31,000 s/f to operate a Foodtown supermarket.

Barry Fishbach, executive vice president, with RKF, represented the net lessor RDC Commercial Center, a subsidiary of Bedford-Stuyvesant Restoration Corp., in the transaction. PSK Supermarkets Inc. was represented in-house.

RKF is the exclusive leasing agent for the 115,000-s/f retail portion of Restoration Plaza, a 300,000-s/f center for retail, commercial, education, arts, and culture in Brooklyn. There is currently more than 40,000 s/f of retail space remaining for lease at Restoration Plaza. Foodtown will replace the current tenant, Pathmark.

PSK Supermarkets Inc. will conduct a complete renovation of its new space. The new Foodtown store is expected to open September 2004.

"This Foodtown will provide an enormous benefit to the neighborhood and stand as a newly invigorated anchor to Restoration Plaza," said Fishbach. "The new supermarket is only the beginning of Restoration Plaza's revitalization."

"Management is committed to expanding Restoration Plaza's appeal as a family destination for art, culture, entertainment and education as well as essential services," said BSRC president Colvin W. Grannum. "This lease and several others that will be announced soon, including a new pharmacy and a national family-style restaurant, will advance our goal."
