RJK Eplorations reports gold find. (Thunder Bay).Significant gold deposits in the Shebandowan area were found after recent exploration was carrried out west of Thunder Bay Thunder Bay, city (1991 pop. 113,946), SW Ont., Canada, on Thunder Bay inlet of Lake Superior. The city was created in 1970 by the amalgamation of the twin cities of Fort William and Port Arthur and two adjoining townships. by RJK RJK Rijeka, Croatia (Airport Code) RJK Rajajääkärikomppania (Finnish) Explorations Ltd. A core drill has shown 5.89 grams of gold per tonne tonne measure of weight or mass; 1 tonne=1000 kg. See also ton. of rock over a core length of 3.03 metres, says a company official. The gold was found approximately 178 metres below the surface in the Matawin Gold Belt. In an earlier exploration, scientists disclosed their finding of assays as high as 11 grams of gold per tonne, and noted there is potential to develop a gold mine if the minerals can be mined at a profit.
