RISO Products Of Boston Wins Inaugural MASBO Award.

NORWELL, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 23, 2003

RISO Products of Boston (RPB), a supplier of Minolta copiers and RISO digital duplicators to school systems across the state, was given the first Vendor of the Year Award by the Massachusetts Association of School Business Officials (MASBO). The award, given in recognition of a vendor affiliate's outstanding contribution to MASBO, was presented at the 37th annual MASBO Institute on May 15 at Ocean Edge Resort in Brewster.

This award marked the first time MASBO has ever recognized a vendor, according to RISO Products of Boston President Robert Raffa.

"We have been working successfully with school business officials, principals and end users for 15 years, and consider ourselves to be educational specialists. To be given this prestigious award is both humbling and gratifying, and it is a validation of our efforts," Raffa said.

"The (MASBO) Board of Directors decided to recognize a vendor affiliate that works closely with us to support the purpose of the organization," said MASBO Executive Director Donald Johnson. "RISO Products of Boston has always stepped forward to help us with our programs. They helped us convert our newsletter from a black-and-white mailer to a color document with better presentation that we post on our Web site."

Raffa said RPB has enjoyed a productive working relationship with MASBO and its members.

"MASBO has always been on the cutting edge with developmental programs and strategic planning, and we are pleased to be able to work with many MASBO members," Raffa said. "RPB has been making the transition from being an equipment provider to a solutions partner, which will enhance our client relationships and bring many positive returns to our customers."

The winners of that award receive a check that is used for a scholarship in their school system.
