In homes across America, it isn't the new year until the television says so. Here's how to ring in 2005 on the tube (streamers Streamers is a play by David Rabe.

``New Year's Eve: Live From Times Square with Ryan Seacrest'' (11 p.m., Fox Channel 11) counts down America's Top 40 and unveils Usher's new ``mini-movie.''

``The Tonight Show With Jay Leno'' airs live back East anyway (but airs 11:35 p.m., NBC Channel 4 here) to observe the New Year in real time. Guests include Motley Crue, which promises a ``special announcement'' during the show, and Blue Man Group.

``Late Night With Conan O'Brien'' (12:35 a.m., NBC, Channel 4) counts down to midnight in the Central time zone to make folks in Milwaukee and Topeka feel special.
