RIMAGE CORP. ACQUIRES ALF PRODUCTS, INC.
MINNEAPOLIS, Oct. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Rimage Corp. (NASDAQ-NMS: RIMG) of Minneapolis has acquired ALF Products, Inc. of Denver. The purchase is for $1.3 million and 40,000 shares of Rimage stock plus a moderate "earn out" based upon future results of ALF Products.
Both companies manufacture diskette duplication equipment and have sophisticated personal computer based controller technology. In 1992 Rimage had sales of $13.2 million, and ALF Products had sales of $3.1 million.
"ALF brings to us some different products and market channels," reported Dave Suden, Rimage's VP of Operations and Development, "but more importantly their technology -- when combined with ours -- will create some major advances in media duplication systems and other micro processor based products."
Rimage Corp. is publicly traded on the NASDAQ National Market System under the acronym RIMG.
