Riley didn't start, but she was the pivotal figure, constantly stretching Wilson's defense in a game dominated by the Bruins (21-5-4). Her goal, with four minutes left in regulation, came from a tough angle on the left wing from Shannon Hart's pass.

It arrived seven minutes after Erin Doherty's header off a corner kick gave Wilson a 2-1 lead.

All four Harvard-Westlake shooters - Katharine Hacking See hack and hacker. , Kerry Kuwata, Hart and Bridget Ballard - connected in the shootout, and Jaques made diving stops on Kacey Doherty and Courtney Campbell, Wilson's final two.

Wilson, whose quick passing game and superb use of space carved up Harvard-Westlake the first 30 minutes, went ahead in the fourth minute. Kristina Walowski tapped the ball home when Hacking, the Wolverines' starting goalkeeper, misplayed Samantha Baker's cross off the post.

Jenna Marine pulled Harvard-Westlake even in the 32nd, volleying in a cross from Kerry Virgien. The Wolverines were more aggressive from that point, and its backline backline
