 RIEDEL ENVIRONMENTAL RECEIVES $3.3-MILLION CONTRACT
 PORTLAND, Ore., May 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Riedel Environmental Technologies Inc. (AMEX: RIE) announced today that its Riedel Environmental Services (RES) subsidiary has been awarded a contract to operate a waste water treatment facility at a Department of Energy (DOE) complex located at Weldon Springs, Mo.
 According to Ken Schlemmer, RES vice president and regional manager responsible for completing the work, the contract covers one year with options for two additional years and will generate up to $3.3 million for the company.
 Weldon Springs is a closed Department of Energy facility located approximately 30 miles west of St. Louis. The facility previously manufactured TNT, DNT and uranium but has been closed since 1969. In 1986, DOE hired MK-Ferguson as site manager to oversee clean-up of the facility and removal of hazardous wastes.
