It features duck ponds, bicycle trails, and a dog park, and directly touches the Ferry Street Bridge. Wednesday night as they take part in the Ride of Silence. Rides took
place around the world Wednesday as part of the annual event, though
this was the first time a local ride was held. The purpose is to
remember bicyclists killed or injured by motor vehicles, demonstrate
that cyclists will not be intimidated from using public roads and
promote the concept of motorists and cyclists sharing the road. Megan
Banks (below) ties a black armband arm·band n. A band worn around the upper arm, often as identification or as a symbol of mourning or protest.
