RIDE SUPPORTS DECEASED OFFICERS.

VALENCIA - The ninth annual Downed Officers Support Ride rumbles into town today at 8 a.m. at the Valencia Town Center Mall Town Center Mall may refer to:
  • Town Center at Cobb, shopping mall located in Kennesaw, Georgia
  • Town Center at Boca Raton, shopping mall located in Boca Raton, Florida

 with a brief memorial ceremony before riders depart on a 90-mile ride to honor fallen officers and firefighters.

After the ride, participants will return to enjoy a barbecue lunch, vendors, raffle prizes and a live band.

The Downed Officer Foundation, formed in 1999, supports family members of law enforcement officers and firefighters who have died in the last 12 months, either while on duty or while serving their communities.

The event has raised more than $75,000 since the first Support Ride in 1996. The on-site entrance fee for today's ride is $30 per person or $40 per couple.
