CASTAIC - Nicole Richie Nicole Camille Richie (born September 21, 1981) is an American socialite, actress, television personality, author, entrepreneur, style icon, model, and singer. The adopted daughter of Lionel Richie, she is known for her role in the reality show The Simple Life  moved into a Castaic neighborhood for a few days this week to tape a segment of the resurrected ``The Simple Life'' and left behind a real-life family angry about the rich-girl-turned-nanny's comments to their young son.
