RICCARDO PIGLIUCCI, FORMER PERKIN ELMER EXECUTIVE, JOINS BIOSEPRA BOARD.

MARLBOROUGH, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 17, 1995--BioSepra Inc. (NASDAQ: BSEP) today named Riccardo Pigliucci to its board of directors. Until recently, Mr. Pigliucci was President and Chief Operating Officer at Perkin Elmer Corporation, a global leader in life science instrumentation. During his long career at Perkin Elmer, Mr. Pigliucci served in a number of international, senior executive positions, including President and General Manager of the Instrument Group, Sector Vice President for the Connecticut Operations and Director, Worldwide Instrument Marketing.

At Perkin Elmer, Pigliucci played a major role in: the acquisition of Applied Biosystems, Inc., which resulted in market share gains in the bioresearch market, and the formation of strategic alliances with technology leaders such as Cetus, Hoffmann-La Roche and Dow Chemical. Pigliucci also is a trustee at the Worcester Foundation for Biomedical Research.
