Jenkins is the former president of Plough, Inc. and executive vice president-consumer operations of Schering-Plough Corporation, an international manufacturer of health and personal care products. He retired from that position in December, 1989. Jenkins received the B.A. and LL.B. from the University of Oklahoma University of Oklahoma, abbreviated OU, is a coeducational public research university located in the U.S. state of Oklahoma. Founded in 1890, it existed in Oklahoma Territory near Indian Territory 17 years before the two became the state of Oklahoma. , and a masters degree (LL.M.) in comparative and international law from New York University New York University, mainly in New York City; coeducational; chartered 1831, opened 1832 as the Univ. of the City of New York, renamed 1896.
