Socket Communications Inc. now offers a dual-function RFID (Radio Frequency IDentification) A data collection technology that uses electronic tags for storing data. The tag, also known as an "electronic label," "transponder" or "code plate," is made up of an RFID chip attached to an antenna.  reader-scan card that scans both RFID tags and bar codes for greater flexibility. The 1.6 oz. device fits into the Type II compact flash slot of a pocket PC, such as the Dell Axim The Axim Family of personal digital assistants was Dell's line of Windows Mobile-powered Pocket PC Devices. The first model, the Axim X5, was introduced in 2002, while the final model, the Axim X51, was discontinued on April 9, 2007. . It features a two-inch read range and can read multiple ID tags simultaneously in loop mood. It reads and writes to all HF ISO (1) See ISO speed.

It is used to measure the transmission speed of electronic devices, including channels, buses and the computer's internal clock. A one-megahertz clock (1 MHz) means some number of bits (16, 32, 64, etc.  tags, including ICode 1 and PicoTag. It also scans all commonly used linear bar codes. Two versions are offered: 6M and 6P. The former features a Class 1 laser, and the latter a Class 2, for use in more demanding scanning environments.
