: RFDL RFDL Radio Frequency Data Link ) announces the final phase design of "SurvivalTag," the latest in life-saving radio frequency identification See RFID.  (RFID) technology for firefighters, EMTs and police for use in at-risk, on-scene situations.

Imbedded in uniforms, SurvivalTag allows emergency personnel to be tracked, pinpointing the wearer's location for possible rescue when necessary.

"When it comes to protecting emergency personnel, a device like SurvivalTag is long overdue," said Nicholas Chavez, president of RFID, LTD. "The RFID component is just one piece of the complete SurvivalTag System under development heavily influenced by fire commanders who wish to not only monitor locations of their squads but also their heart rates, respiratory developments, and skin temperatures."
