RFI Approves Zinc Focused Exploration Program for Dynamex.HAMILTON, Bermuda -- Resource Finance & Investment Limited ("RFI (Radio Frequency Interference) High-frequency electromagnetic waves that emanate from electronic devices such as chips. RFI - Radio Frequency Interference ") (OTCBB OTCBB See OTC Bulletin Board (OTCBB). :RFIVF) is pleased to announce it has approved the exploration program and budget presented by management of its 100% owned subsidiary Dynamex Corporation for its "Shawnee" Kentucky zinc and base metal project. The Shawnee zinc project is located in western Kentucky, a region which has a long and productive history of mining zinc and fluorspar fluorspar: see fluorite. . It is a rural area that would benefit from economic development and responsible mining operations. An inactive mill that can treat zinc ore is nearby, and the only two custom zinc smelters in the USA are located in the area. The project is being managed by O. Jay Gatten and North American North American named after North America. North American blastomycosis see North American blastomycosis. North American cattle tick see boophilusannulatus. Exploration Inc., on behalf of Dynamex. Airborne magnetic surveys previously conducted by RFI and Kennecott Exploration in the 1990's outlined a large magnetic "high" which is unique in the area and has the shape of a Lollypop lol·ly·pop n. Variant of lollipop. in plan view. This feature is approximately three square miles (about 1800 acres) in size. Kennecott Exploration considered this a diamond prospect and drilled three core holes within a small area located on the "highest" point of the feature. One of these holes unexpectedly cut thick zones with encouraging, but not ore-grade, zinc minerals. Based on this drilling, numerous untested zinc prospects and past high-grade zinc production, there are at least two excellent zinc exploration possibilities. 1. A large lower-grade, bulk-mineable zinc reserve that offers the possibility of surface mining. The zinc minerals occur within a broken and altered dark-colored igneous rock igneous rock: see rock. igneous rock Any of various crystalline or glassy, noncrystalline rocks formed by the cooling and solidification of molten earth material (magma). which is known as a "breccia breccia: see conglomerate. breccia Coarse sedimentary rock consisting of angular or nearly angular fragments larger than 0.08 in. (2 mm). Breccia commonly results from processes such as landslides or geologic faulting, in which rocks are fractured. ". This breccia probably extends like a blanket over a large area. The potential is an ore body that is tens of millions of tons in size. Areas within the Lollypop feature with lower magnetic readings could host zinc reserves and should be drilled. 2. High grade vein and bedded zinc deposits surround the Lollypop feature. An example is the nearby inactive Hutson Mine which produced about one million tons of ore with a grade of about 13% zinc. The zinc deposits occur near the intersection of north-east trending structures and north to north-west trending igneous ig·ne·ous adj. 1. Of, relating to, or characteristic of fire. 2. Geology a. Formed by solidification from a molten state. Used of rocks. b. Of or relating to rock so formed; pyrogenic. dikes. There are several exploration targets in the Shawnee project with these characteristics. Drilling is warranted to test these exploration possibilities. An initial program of 16 holes totaling 8000 feet (2650 meters) has been recommended. Ten holes would be drilled to test the large bulk-mineable target and six holes would be drilled on nearby higher grade prospects. Subsequent work would depend on the drilling results. This wide spaced drilling is expected to provide important data in determining the extent of any zinc mineralization Mineralization The process by which the body uses minerals to build bone structure.
