Revenue increased 63 percent to $6,792,000 from $4,162,000 a year ago.

Joseph Stach, president of RF Power Products, said: "RFP's record sales and earnings are due to an expanding customer base and strong demand by original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) of semiconductor and flat panel display A thin display screen for computer and TV usage. The first flat panels appeared on laptop computers in the mid-1980s, and the LCD technology became the standard. Stand-alone LCD screens became available for desktop computers in the mid-1990s and exceeded sales of CRTs for the first time  manufacturing equipment. Fourth-quarter revenue and earnings are expected to exceed third-quarter results, and we are preparing for continued growth next year.

"To help accommodate this rapid growth, we have leased an additional 10,000 square feet of office and production facilities and have commenced lease negotiations to construct a new, 60,000-square-foot corporate headquarters and production facility near our Voorhees, N.J., headquarters."

For the nine months ended Aug. 31, 1995, net income was $569,000, or 5 cents per share, compared with $989,000, or 9 cents per share, last year. Revenue increased 55 percent to $17,802,000, compared with $11,452,000 in the same period of fiscal 1994.

Nine-month fiscal 1995 earnings include the effect of a previously announced, one-time, non-cash compensation expense of $957,000, or 8 cents per share, in the second quarter. The charge was due to a settlement agreement between RFP and its former legal counsel to correct unintended tax consequences of stock purchase agreements with certain of the company's executives.

Fiscal 1994 results benefited from an extraordinary credit of $275,000, or 3 cents per share, related to the adoption of FASB FASB
