RF Code's TAVIS Platform to Serve a Key Role in CACI's 'Field Readiness' Solution

MESA, Ariz. -- RF Code, Inc., a leading provider of real-time location, sensor and RFID solutions, today announced that its TAVIS data management platform will play a key role in the data collection solutions deployed by CACI International Inc. in support of the Field and Installation Readiness Support Team program with the U.S. Army.

CACI received one of 15 large business prime contract awards to support the multiple-award Field and Installation Readiness Support Team (FIRST) program with the Army Contracting Agency, Southern Region at Fort McPherson, Georgia. Army FIRST is a 20-year, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) task order contract. RF Code's TAVIS software platform will be used to monitor, collect, consolidate and filter data from RFID and other Automatic Identification and Data Capture (AIDC) devices. The contract represents new opportunities for the award-winning TAVIS suite to be deployed within the defense sector.

The TAVIS software suite from RF Code is an advanced and powerful data management platform designed to support the next generation of hybrid RFID solutions. CACI and its teammates will provide Army FIRST with a wide range of logistics support services, from program management and information technology (IT) support, to repairing equipment, providing supply management services and managing logistics IT systems. Work will be performed at Army installations and field sites in the U.S. and abroad. Much of the work is expected to focus on planning, scheduling and performing repairs to tactical ground vehicles and other equipment from combat zones to return these items to full readiness. Optimal repair and maintenance services will save the Army considerable expense on replacement equipment and free soldiers to concentrate on their mission-critical duties.
