It's going to be a serious juggling act for both Debbie Allen and James Ingram to get their Kennedy Center ``Brothers of the Night'' musical finished in time for its April debut.

``We're about three-quarters finished, but Debbie's doing a one-woman play (`Harriet's Return') at the Geffen Playhouse right now, and I'm getting ready to head out this week on a promotional tour with John Tesh,'' says Ingram. The multi-Grammy winning singer/songwriter sings the tune ``Give Me Forever (I Do)'' on Tesh's new ``Grand Passion'' CD. ``We're going to Canada, New York New York, state, United States

Ingram says Allen is pushing him to take a part in ``Brothers of the Night,'' a musical about 12 preacher's sons who want to dance - in opposition to their father's religious beliefs. ``She's trying to get me to do the minister's role,'' says Ingram, who adds he's actively resisting. ``I'm not trying to do that (acting). It's not in my heart. I've been telling her no from the get-go, but she and my wife, Debbie, have ganged up on me. So I'm fighting both Debbies. If she does conjure me into it, it'll be two lines of something and a bunch of singing.''
