``We want to bring these killers to justice,'' City Councilman Joel Wachs Joel Wachs served for several terms as Los Angeles City Councilman for the 2nd district. He was first elected by defeating incumbent James B. Potter.

Although the case is several years old, detectives say they now have more time to focus on it as the city's homicide rate continues to drop.

City Council members voted Wednesday to renew the offer for information leading to the killers' arrests. They have made the offer twice before.

Prajapati's husband, Kamlesh, pleaded Thursday for more witnesses to come forward.

At his side stood their daughter, Atithi, now 6. Atithi was asleep behind the counter when her mother was shot and is too young to remember much of what happened, Prajapati said.

Since the slaying, Prajapati said, he has relied on their extended family to help raise the girl.

``I've got a big family, and my sister-in-law, she takes care of her,'' Prajapati said. ``If I was alone, it would be very difficult.''
