REWARD POSTED IN MAN'S SLAYING.

Detectives offered a $25,000 reward Friday and asked for the public's help in finding three home-invasion robbers responsible for fatally shooting a record producer.

The woman was not injured during the robbery but was very shaken, police said.

During a news conference in front of the Davis home in the 4900 block of Placidia Avenue on Friday, police displayed photos of some of the items that were stolen during the robbery.

``Mr. Davis was the helpless victim of a home-invasion robbery. His death was a needless tragedy. . . . We are here today to get the word out: We need the help of the community,'' Ferraro said.

All three suspects are described as African-American. The men are believed to be in their early 20s, police said.

One male is described as 5 feet 9 inches tall, 150 pounds with black, short, curly hair and medium-brown skin with an acne rash. He was wearing a loose, light-green suit, beige silk shirt and brown work boots with laces untied.

The second male is described as 5 feet 8 inches tall, 130 to 150 pounds with a deep, raspy rasp·y

Police described the female suspect as 5 feet 6 inches tall, 110 pounds and in her late teens.

Detectives added that those with information can remain anonymous.
