is believed to be with her mother, 43-year-old Maria Cedano Ayala, who had her baby taken away at birth because the infant had drugs in her system, officials said.

``Obviously, it will be an aid to get some information that will lead to ... recovery of the little girl,'' said Tony Bell, spokesman for Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich Michael Dennis Antonovich (born 1939 in Los Angeles, California) is a member of the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors representing the Fifth District, which covers northern Los Angeles County, the Antelope, Santa Clarita, Pasadena, and parts of the San Fernando and San , who proposed the reward Tuesday.

The reward is for information leading to the arrest and conviction of Ayala, for whom a $100,000 arrest warrant has been issued.

The abduction occurred just before 2 p.m. Sept. 11 at McAdams Park in Palmdale. A man approached the foster mother and demanded the baby, then got into a car with a woman and drove off.

Deputies that evening arrested Jose Martinez, 37, of Palmdale on suspicion of child stealing. But they said he told them he gave the baby to Ayala.

Ayala is described as Latina, about 5-foot-5 and 150 pounds. She was last seen driving a black 2000 Chevrolet Silverado extended-cab pickup truck, license plate 7D92423.

Anyone with information about Joliette or Ayala is urged to contact the Palmdale sheriff's station at (661) 272-2400.
