 REVENUE TO FALL BELOW ANALYSTS' EXPECTATIONS
 CUPERTINO, Calif., Oct. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Symantec Corporation


(NASDAQ: SYMC) today announced that revenue for the September quarter, ending on Oct. 2, 1992, is expected to be approximately 20 percent less than analysts' expectations which have been in the $54 to $55 million range. The company will have an operating loss for the September quarter.
