REUNIONS SET FOR PETS, OWNERS.

Some reunions may be held less often.  for dogs, cats and people who want to reclaim animals they once left behind at the Pets for Life sanctuary in Van Nuys.

The unlicensed shelter was closed last month after city workers said they found hundreds of sickly pets and some dead.

Peter Persic, a spokesman for L.A. Animal Services, said news of the shelter's closing and the arrest of its owner has drawn calls from about a dozen pets owners who expected their cats and dogs Cats and Dogs

Pet owners should make an appointment to search for their pets, which could be at any one of the three shelters holding the 350 cats and 29 dogs.

The shelters are open Tuesdays through Saturdays, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Chatsworth shelter is located at 20655 Plummer St., (818) 756-8485.

The North Hollywood shelter is at 13131 Sherman Way, (818) 756-8445.
