VALENCIA - A former patient at Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital returned to the hospital May 23 to celebrate her 90th birthday and thank the physicians, staff and volunteers who cared for her during her stay.

More than 50 caregivers gathered in Newhall Memorial's cafeteria cafeteria: see restaurant.  where they were personally invited by family members after making an impression on Mary DiLorenzo and her family while she was in the hospital.

DiLorenzo came into the hospital's Emergency Department via ambulance after suffering from severe chest and abdominal pains Abdominal pain can be one of the symptoms associated with transient disorders or serious disease. Making a definitive diagnosis of the cause of abdominal pain can be difficult, because many diseases can result in this symptom. Abdominal pain is a common problem. , followed by a small stroke. Soon, the doctors discovered she had a malignant mass in her stomach.

DiLorenzo underwent surgery to remove the cancer. Now DiLorenzo proudly calls herself a cancer survivor and is thankful thank·ful
