RETIRED LT. GEN. VERNON KONDRA JOINS THE DOUGLAS REITER CO.

 PORTLAND, Ore., April 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Lt. Gen. Vernon Kondra (USAF Retired), who was responsible for all strategic airlift operations for Operation Desert Storm/Desert Shield, has joined The Douglas Reiter Co., it was announced today.
 The Douglas Reiter Co., with offices in Portland and Seattle, provides INTERIM EXECUTIVES(SM) and Strategic and Tactical Action Teams S.T.A.T. TEAMS(SM) to business and industry.
 The announcement said Kondra has been appointed director of S.T.A.T. TEAM(SM) operations, with a primary focus on the aircraft and aviation industries, managing corporate relocations, plant closures and complex logistical requirements.
 Kondra, 55, was born in Kelso, Wash., and joined the U.S. Air Force in 1961 following his graduation from Washington State University, where he received a bachelor of science degree in biology. During his military career, he completed advanced studies at several Air Force colleges and the Graduate School of Industrial Administration at Carnegie-Mellon University.
 A command pilot with more than 7,000 flying hours, Kondra served in a number of senior command and staff positions with military airlift units, culminating with his direction of airlift operations during the Gulf War.
