Conejo Valley The Conejo Valley is a region spanning both Southeastern Ventura County and Northwest Los Angeles County in Southern California, United States. It was discovered in 1542 by Spanish explorer Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo, and eventually became part of the Rancho El Conejo land grant by Chamber of Commerce. ``We're getting some new and exciting retail-entertainment type shopping areas.'' The Promenade at Westlake has brought out consumers as have efforts to upgrade The Oaks, she said. ``We're getting new tenants, what customers are asking for,'' she said. ``There are some very nice homes here and people want to furnish them just right so we're really focusing on that. The children's market is also a great market for us.'' On top of that, consumer confidence has been bolstered by an improving economy. ``Our annual survey shows that every year people on the average are spending more in the city,'' Brandes said.
