RESULT STAYS SAME NEW PLAYERS LEAD PARACLETE PARACLETE 24, CHAMINADE 20.

Byline: Jill Painter Staff Writer

New faces. Same results.

Paraclete Paraclete (pâr`əklēt), in the New Testament, title of the Holy Spirit, often translated as "Comforter" or "Advocate." In First John, Jesus himself is the "Paraclete."  senior Tommy Caton Thomas Stephen "Tommy" Caton (October 6, 1962 – April 30, 1993) was an English football player.

Born in Kirkby Liverpool, Caton was a centre half who played for (and captained) England schoolboys, before signing for Manchester City as an apprentice in 1978.
made his debut after former quarterback Erik Vose transferred. Running back Jared Nelson rushed for 97 yards after transferring from Quartz quartz, one of the commonest of all rock-forming minerals and one of the most important constituents of the earth's crust. Chemically, it is silicon dioxide, SiO2.  Hill. And seldom-used James Mindis did plenty with his first real opportunity.

Caton threw two touchdown passes, including one to Nelson, and Mindis scored a touchdown as Paraclete's newcomers held off a late Chaminade rally Friday to win 24-20 at Chaminade.

``Who are these guys?'' Paraclete coach Jeff Cortez laughed. ``Who's Nelson? But that's the fun of it. A lot of people will find out about these guys now.''

Vose transferred to Westlake Village but Paraclete didn't miss a beat.

Caton was 8-of-13 passing for 149 yards and two touchdowns. And Nelson, a bruising bruising

discoloration and actual hemorrhage at the site of injury, and a serious disadvantage in the meat trade. In the first 12 hours after injury the bruise is bright red, at 24 hours it is dark red, at 24 to 36 hours it loses its firm consistency and becomes watery and at 3 or
running back, put the Spirits on the board early with an 85-yard touchdown reception from Caton. Nelson turned a simple screen pass into a big play after breaking several tackles.

``I'm glad to be part of this, it's awesome,'' Nelson said. ``Everyone came together.''

Chaminade had outstanding performances form quarterback Brian Rhodes and receiver Adrian Adrian, Roman emperor

Aye-Darko. Rhodes completed 16 of 27 for 237 yards and two touchdowns, both to Aye-Darko. He also ran for a touchdown.

Aye-Darko had 10 catches for 155 yards and two touchdowns.

In the third quarter, Rhodes found Aye-Darko for a 19-yard touchdown in the left corner to pull Chaminade within 24-20. The Eagles fumbled the snap and never got a kick off for the extra point.

But Chaminade missed its last opportunity when it fumbled the snap on fourth-and-6 at Paraclete's 40 with just less than two minutes left.

Nelson had 16 carries for 97 yards, and Mindis, who had a 1-yard run to make it 21-7, grinded out 61 yards on 17 carries. Mindis had more carries Friday than he did all of last season as a reserve.

with 3:39 left in the first half that cut Paraclete's lead to 14-7.

intercepted a Rhodes pass with 22 seconds left. He returned the interception to the 1, and Mindis scored on the next play for a 21-7 halftime lead.
